One of the most frequent questions I get is which app/program I use to write my books. I’ve been using Ulysses (warning: it’s Apple-exclusive!) for years, and have never strayed.

Unlike Microsoft Word, Ulysses treats chapters as separate “sections” with easy drag-and-drop rearrange functionality.

I also love that the minimalist design focuses on words rather than a bunch of outlining bells and whistles. And it’s mobile-friendly, for writing-on-the-go!

Primally Pure

My adult skin has been an adventure. Cursed with both cystic acne on my chin and eczema, finding a product to treat one issue without aggravating the other is a challenge.

I’ve tried everything from pricey La Mer to budget Cetaphil with mixed results, until I stumbled upon PRIMALLY PURE.

Game-changer. My skin has never felt this radiant and breakout free. I especially adore this cleansing oil, and both I and my skincare-agnostic husband love this face cream.

Static Nails

I love having polished nails. I hate getting my nails done. As a full-time author with ambitions galore, going to get a manicure never feels like pampering—it feels like yet another to do task.

So, I do my nails at home! Cheaper and easier to schedule. But finding a nail polish brand that has great colors, staying power, and isn’t basically liquid poison? Tricky.

STATIC NAILS is by far the best nail polished I’ve ever used, is non-toxic, vegan, cruelty-free, and bonus, the packaging is goals.

I love me some organization. If there’s a new planner, system, or productivity hack on the market, I want it. But though I’ve tried many, and loved quite a few, no system (or app) has come quite so close to “doing it all” as Notion.

It’s self-described as: “An all-in-one workspace. Write, plan, collaborate, and get organized. Notion is all you need — in one tool.”

That’s a big claim, but it’s legit. It’s part calendar, part task-tracking, part note-taking, and I love it.

why I love Planoly

I’m a full-time author and entrepreneur who runs my business without a Facebook or Twitter account. I know.

Which means I rely prettily heavily on the social media platform I do enjoy: Instagram. But, I also limit my Instagram time to 20 minutes a day in order to prioritize writing and my offline life.

How? Planoly. It’s this sexy little app that lets you auto-post your Instagram photos so that you can still keep your followers updated, without losing hours to mindless scrolling/liking!
