LAUREN LAYNE SERIES STARTERS

New to the Lauren Layne world, and not sure where to begin? While all of my books can be read as standalones (in any order), most of my readers love to read each series in the in chronological order. And as a reader, I feel that (oh, hey Mary Balogh's backlist!).

For all you orderly, organized readers out there, I've pulled out all of my series' number ones so you can get started binge-reading in the proper order!

Central Park PACT #1

Named an Oprah Magazine Best Rom-Com, Passion on Park Avenue kicks off a series about an unlikely friendship among three women who meet at the funeral of a man they were all unknowingly seeing. Don't worry, it's not as dark as it sounds! It has plenty of NYC vibes with a lot of friendship and romance.

STILETTO and OXFORD #1

My OG series! After the Kiss kicks off the ultimate binge read: 9 books about the women and men of Stiletto & Oxford magazine who navigate the complexities of dating in Manhattan...and writing about it. This book is also my most Instagrammedβ€”I get tagged at least once a day on this book!

I Do I Don't #1

A quick little series, just a two book duet, Ready to Run kicks off my Runaway Bride meets The Bachelor series about the behind-the-scenes of a reality TV show in which 25 women try to lure a notorious runaway groom down the altar. Don't worry if you haven't seen or don't care for The Bachelorβ€”I've never seen it either! This one was named one of Apple's 10 Best Books of the Year.

The WEDDING BELLES #1

Technically my wedding belles series kicks off with the novella From This Day Forward, but a lot of readers don't like novellas, and I promise you really don't have to read that one to dive into this series about the women behind Manhattan's most elite wedding planning company (think lots of scenes and references to The Plaza). A USA TODAY bestseller with a ton of steam and flirty bickering.

21 Wall Street #1

A fan-favorite series, Hot Asset features one of my "new wolves of Wall Street," the hot shot brokers of 21 Wall Street who work hard, play hard, and have absolutely no interest in settling down. This book was featured on Inside Edition (my first ever TV appearance!), and is a about a careless playboy who gets in over his head when he's investigated by a sexy SEC investigator.

MAN of the YEAR #1

This is part of a two-book series about men who are named by Citizen magazine as "Man of the Year," that you actually really don't have to read in order! But if you want to, this one features the young, wealthy, straight-shooting mayor of New York City who falls for the one woman he can never have: the daughter of his opponent who has a major secret.

Heat Level: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ Steamy (explicit sex scenes)

Let me warn you right now: this is a little different from my other series in that it's a New Adult seriesβ€”the characters are younger (college), which means they have early 20s problems and sensibilities! All books in the series are retellings of classics/fairy tales, and this one is a spin on Pygmalion with a preppy fratboy who makes over a "goth" film student into a Park Avenue princess, only to fall in love with the real her.

Heat Level: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ Steamy (explicit sex scenes)

One of my grittier series (though still with plenty of banter and romance!), this features the three Morettis, a multi-generational family of cops in the NYPD who are willing to risk it all...except their hearts. Book One features youngest brother Luc, who finds himself in the national spotlight after a heroic rescue, and one determined reporter is convinced there's more to the story...

Redemption #1

New York's Finest #1

Heat Level: πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ Steamy (explicit sex scenes)

My very first book! I wrote this one from an airplane hanger in Puyallup Washington, in my pre-NYC days, which is why it's set in  my hometown of Seattle! It's about two sisters who have nothing in common except the tendency to fall for a guy who's so totally wrong he might just be Mr. Right. My main goal while writing this book? To write a modern day Mr. Darcy! 😏

NOT READY TO COMMIT TO A WHOLE SERIES?

I totally get it. I have a bunch of "standalone" love stories that aren't part of any series, or connected to any other books other than the occasional cameo.
