Series Overview

Oxford

Oxford is technically a spin-off of the Stiletto series, but I actually think of them as one big Stiletto + Oxford series, so you may enjoy starting with Stiletto.

Behind the Series

Oxford is the best happy accident of my career. My original premise for the second book in my Stiletto series wasn’t working; my hero was supposed to be a cynical divorce attorney whom my heroine was interviewing, and it just kept falling flat. Two weeks before deadline, I decided to reimagine the entire premise, and instead put my Stiletto columnist Grace up against a rival journalist.

I hurriedly invented Oxford, a men’s magazine (inspired by GQ) that shared a building with my Stiletto characters. I figured the magazine would exist solely within the confines of that one book, but the Oxford characters popped again in Just One Night. And then became pivotal in The Trouble With Love, which was the final Stiletto book.

And even then, I wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye. I tentatively asked my publisher if they might be interested in a spinoff book (Irresistibly Yours). It turned out to be a good decision. It expanded into four more books, all of which hit USA TODAY the bestseller list, and one landed on the New York Times bestseller list.

Nearly a decade later, it continues to be one of my bestselling and most popular series.

Quick Facts

  • You don’t have to read them in order, but they do build on each other, especially as it relates to the group friendship.

  • These are steamy, with explicit sex scenes.

  • These are all written in third person.

  • They are unfortunately not available in paperback or print form. This is the publisher’s decision.
