Behind the Series
Several years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night with the idea that I must write a romance series based on The Bachelor … except instead of the finale ending with a proposal, it would end with an actual wedding. With an extra kick: the “bachelor” in question would be a notorious runaway groom … a man so commitment phobic that he’d backed out on his own wedding.
The idea was so insistent that I got up in the middle of the night to email my editor about it, which in hindsight … odd. I don’t watch reality tv, and have never even seen The Bachelor.
Anyway, the first book is all about a TV producer trying to reel in the perfect candidate for the first season … an moody firefighter from a small town in Montana. The second features the actual TV show in progress, and is one of my all-time favorites of my books. A third was planned (Just Run With It), but I scrapped it because I didn’t have it in me to write another book that required a spreadsheet of 25 reality tv show contestants and their elimination schedule. :)
Quick Facts

The first book is written in third person, the second book in first person.
You absolutely do not need to read them in order! The only overlap is the premise of the show; there are no overlapping characters or setting.
